Jesenia Cruz, otherwise known as Jesse Cruz, graduated from Hampshire College with a BA in Creative Writing and Literature. Originally from New Britain, CT, she is currently working at HarperCollins Publishers in New York, NY as their lead receptionist. She has surrounded herself with the world of publishing and continues to learn and grow each day.

From the moment she could read, she has been coming up with ideas to write about. Along with this, she has spent much of her school days, developing her skills in critiquing others work. She finds much enjoyment in offering feedback for her fellow writers and helping them make their work the very best it can be. In college, she lead writing workshop groups where aspiring writers, like herself, could gather together and assist one another with their current projects. In the evenings and weekends, she spends time developing her endless list of fiction stories.

Jesse has a wide breadth of experience writing across multiple forms and specializes in writing short stories, screenwriting, and blog writing. Her wide background in child care, coupled with her love for all things supernatural and macabre, make for an interesting mix of entertaining fiction. Currently, she is looking for representation for her work all while working on a short supernatural Middle Grade novel. Aside from her writing life, Jesse is largely involved with the cosplay community, devoting much of her free time to creating costumes and debuting them at conventions across the east coast.
